FCB Charter
Monday, September 19, 2011 at 10:09PM | 1. Mission Statement
All Fleets within the Fishing Council of Britannia are devoted to the fine art of fishing and all the skills associated with it. We are a multi-shard guild and will ever strive to make better the world of fishing for Fishers everywhere. We are Fishers, friends and peaceful merchants. We do not condone mindless player killing, and as such shun all those who participate in it. We are not bounty hunters and will not exact revenge upon perceived wrongs to our Fleets, yet we will not punish any members who wish to pursue these activities. We see the Fishing Council of Britannia as a large family, and actively encourage all members to assist each other where ever possible, within the constraints of the game and our policies. |
| · 2. Player Killing and Murders
The unjustified killing of other players by members of the Fleet is and will not be tolerated by the Fleet, and conversely the Fleet will not tolerate any other players who engage in this activity. While we believe that such crimes should not go unpunished, we as a Fleet do not see ourselves as the Judge, Jury, or Executioners in such matters. Because of this we do not enforce it upon our members to hunt player killers, and neither do we condemn those members who choose to do so. We see this matter as one of personal choice, and will do all within our power to see that the hunting of player killers remains so. |
| · 3. Ranks and Duties
Ranks In addition, we encourage shards to have an Events Director, who plans and runs public and private events. The Emmissaries are responsible for recruiting and vetting potential members. |
| · 4. Funding
The funding of each fleet is the decision of the Captain and the crew. |
| · 5. Participation
Participation is Key
Most of our Fleet members have ICQ. We ask that when you become a member, you add your Fleet's members to your contact list, as well as the Fleet Captain's and officers. This way, we can all communicate with each other and have a better chance of knowing who is online from our Guild. As a suggestion, why not rename each members entry as you add them to your list to reflect the FCB suffix? For instance, Sarah should read Sarah_FCB. This process will help you to identify a Fleet member much faster in the case of an emergency. Meetings In-game Meetings will be regularly scheduled by your Fleet Captain. We encourage all members to try and attend as many meetings as possible. This is to maintain unity and fellowship within your Fleet. If you cannot attend a meeting, notify your Fleet Captain. They will do their best to send you a copy of what took place within the meeting. If you have topics or ideas that you would like to see discussed in our meetings, send them to your Fleet Captain. If your Fleet Captain is not able to make a meeting, the First Mate or next most senior member will be required to host that meeting to the best of their ability.
|
| · 6. Negative Fleet Actions
Negative Fleet Actions include (but are not limited to):
|
| · 7. Interaction with Other Guilds
Any interaction with another guild in regards to forming an alliance or a joint operation should first be referred to your Fleet Captain, or, if that is not feasible should be referred to all available Fleet Officers. At no stage should a member of the Fleet make any promises to assist another guild or form an alliance without approval from one of those two sources. |
| · 8. Use of Third Party Programs
The Fishing Council of Britannia neither condones nor endorses the use of third party programs. We firmly believe that it is an individual's choice. |
| · 9. Rule and Policy Violations
Any member found to be in violation of Fleet policy and/or rules will be first issued a warning. Upon the second violation the individual will stand in judgement before a Fleet Council (consisting of the Fleet Officers and all available members of the Fleet). The strongest penalty is banishment. |
| · 10. Leaving FCB
If at any time you wish to be removed from our guild, simply email your Fleet Captain. We will remove your info from all areas of our site. We will not give you a hard time about leaving - things come up and we will respect your wishes. |
| · 11. Application Process
